Mary Shelley

Mary Shelley is often credited for inventing contemporary Science Fiction with her Gothic novel, Frankenstein.

Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, (born August 30, 1797 —died February 1, 1851), was an English Romantic novelist best known as the author of Frankenstein. She wrote several other lesser-known novels including Valperga (1823), The Fortunes of Perkin Warbeck (1830), Lodore (1835), Falkner (1837), and The Last Man (1826).
